First post
I have read approximately ten billion unmaintained blogs and they generally have three posts, the first of which is "Hi everyone! I'm new at this blogging thing, but I'm gonna try to keep posting regularly! Please look forward to it!", the second is some meticulously written essay two weeks later, followed by a third post written two months afterwards saying "It's been a little hard to keep up, but here's a WIP of a post I've been working on!", and then they never post again. So I'm going to skip ahead a few steps forward and I promise I'm already never going to post again here, definitely not on any particular schedule, and absolutely nothing of insight or value. If you're interested in keeping up with my professional work, I maintain a very low traffic mailing list that only updates when there's something really important like a new release—I personally recommend subscribing to that one!
Mostly I'm just rushing to put this together because cohost is dying right now and I really want to get a stable and permanent RSS link available even if I've got no real intentions. If for some reason I end up going back on this promise to never post, there's like a 99% chance it's just an info dump so I can post it privately in a Discord somewhere. The other 1% chance is that it'll be a really good selfie or something. Either way, it'll probably be a pleasant surprise when you suddenly see an RSS notification on a website that already promised it was going to be dead!
